They have been invited to many festivals, most notably the first Festival Erik Satie in Honfleur, France; the Montréal International Piano Festival; the Festival des Musiques à l’Image il Biarritz; the International Festival Sarajevo “Sarajevo Winter”; and the Festival de Saint-Riquier and the Festival de Pierrefond, in France. The Duo Campion-Vachon’s obvious talent and passion for music comes through in their recordings for Analekta of works for piano four hands by Satie, Stravinsky, Casella, Ravel, Fauré, Gershwin, and Schubert. Lauded by the international press both for the duo’s brilliant interpretations and for Guy Campion’s exceptional arrangements, their now classic disc, Gershwin Songbook, was also awarded the Grand Prix de la Nouvelle Académie du Disque Français in 1996 and selected by the magazine Répertoire in 1998 as a must-have George Gershwin recording. Their recording Noël Pianissimo-a happy mélange of traditional carols arranged in the style of the great composers and popular Christmas tunes from the 1930s and 40s-has enjoyed resounding success.
