Philippe Dunnigan graduated with a unanimous First Prize degree in violin and chamber music from the Montreal Conservatory of Music. An inquisitive musician, he has been interested in numerous musical genres, which has led him to play as a soloist with symphony and chamber orchestras, as well as pop, rock and tango bands. He has shared his talent with the greatest names on the Quebec and the international scenes. He has shared his talent with the greatest names on the Quebec and the international scenes. He has also performed four times for Queen Elizabeth, and for Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. He has participated in more than 200 albums, in addition to recordings for television, advertising, film and even video games. Philippe Dunnigan is solo violin with the orchestra that has been accompanying Céline Dion in Las Vegas since March 2011. He formed his string quartet with some of the best string instrumentalists in Quebec.
Christian Prévost, violin
Holding a degree from the Institute of Chamber Music at UW-Milwaukee under the direction of the Fine Arts Quartet, violinist
Christian Prévost has been a member of I Musici de Montréal Chamber Orchestra since 1985. He has studied mainly with Steven Staryk, Davis Zafer, Leonard Sorkin and Vladimir Landsman. Known for his rich and vibrant sound, he devotes himself to a large variety of projects and artistic collaborations, in the studio and on the stage. He can be heard as solo violin on the soundtrack of many Quebec films, including Un homme et son péché (A Man and His Sin), Sans elle (Without Her), and Père et fils (Father and Sons), among others.
Elvira Misbakhova, viola
Of Russian origin,
Elivira Misbakhova holds a PhD in performance from the University of Montreal. She has participated in events as prestigious as the Pacific Music Festival Sapporo and the Bachakademie Stuttgart Festival, among others. As a member of the Klezstory Ensemble, where she is a soloist, she has performed in the United States, China, Mexico, Brazil, Europe and Canada.
Mariève Bock, cello
With a Master’s from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston,
Mariève Bock is a rising star on the Canadian musical scene. She is the cellist of Musica Camerata Montreal (in residence at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts) and the Quebec City Chamber Music Society, and her recitals have been broadcast throughout the country on Radio-Canada and CBC. She also plays in the music series of Syrinx Sunday Salons in Toronto, Capital City Concerts in Vermont (United States) and the Redshift Music Society in Vancouver. She has had the privilege of being invited by the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, as part of the sixtieth anniversary commemorations of the end of the Second World War.
