David Fallis is a Toronto-based conductor and music director of early and contemporary music. He has conducted at the Royal Opera House in Versailles, the Glimmerglass Festival, Singapore Festival, Festival Vancouver, Houston Grand Opera, Seoul Arts Centre, Cleveland Opera, Wolftrap Theater, and in major opera houses in Japan.

He conducted the world premiere of R. Murray Schafer’s The Children’s Crusade at the 2009 Luminato Festival, and has conducted world premieres by other leading Canadian composers including James Rolfe, Christopher Butterfield, Christos Hatzis and Andrew Ager. He directs Choir 21, a vocal ensemble specializing in contemporary choral music, and as Music Director of Opera Atelier has led critically-acclaimed productions in Toronto, France, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and the United States.

As Artistic Director of the Toronto Consort, Canada’s leading ensemble specializing in the music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, he tours extensively and leads the ensemble in their numerous recordings.
