Upon graduating from the prestigious Eastman School of Music with a Doctorate of Musical Arts in 2003, Aaron was chosen to be the inaugural recipient of the Andrés Segovia Award. Aaron Brock has won top prizes at numerous international competitions, including first prize and audience choice award at the Schadt String Competition, and first place at the Rantoucci Guitar Festival and the Appalachian Guitarfest.
Aaron Brock has collaborated as a guitar soloist with many distinguished musicians including conductors Victor Feldbrill, Volker Christ, Bradley Thachuck, Kevin Mallon, Robert Raines, Robert Aitken, and Diane Wittry. He has performed with numerous ensembles in Canada and abroad: the Toronto Senior Strings, the Northern Lights Festival Orchestra, Eastman’s Chamber Orchestra, University of Toronto Chamber Orchestra, New Music Concerts, and Continuum. Aaron Brock has performed in the United States, Europe, Canada, and Mexico. His performances have also been broadcast on CBC radio and City-TV television.
