In 2003, Anne Thivierge obtained a master’s degree in transverse flute at the Université de Montréal with Lise Daoust, as well as a grant from the Stockhausen-Kurse Kürten in Germany, where she worked with Karlheinz Stockhausen and Kathinka Pasveer.
From 2003 to 2006, she perfected herself in Paris with Marc Hantaï (Baroque flute) and Raymond Guiot (modern flute). In 2006, she obtained a master’s “with high honors” in Baroque flute from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with Barthold Kuijken and Frank Theuns.
In Europe, she has played under such conductors as Jordi Savall, Raphaël Pichon, Sigiswald Kuijken, and Jos van Immerseel. She also regularly performs in Canada and is presently working toward a PhD at Université Laval.
