Jean-Pierre Zanella

In the last twelve years, saxophonist Jean-Pierre Zanella has half-dozen discs to his name—all bearing his distinctive style and including the remarkable Mother Tree—along with a number of prestigious awards. Since his beginnings, he has played with some of the great names in jazz and variety, including trombonist Bob Brookmeyer, saxophonist Al Cohn, maestro Michel Legrand, singer Paul Anka, guitarist John Abercromby, as well as fellow Quebecers such as pianists Jan Jarczyk, James Gelfand and François Marcaurelle.
