Chosen to represent Canada at the prestigious Cardiff Singer of the World 2005, Marie-Josée Lord keeps charming audiences with her refined acting and musicianship, in the multiple roles she has held until now, including those of Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica, Opéra de Montréal), Liù (Turandot, Opéra de Québec and Montréal), Mimi (la Bohème, Opéra de Montréal), Louala (l’Étoile, Opéra de Montréal), Nedda (I Pagliacci, Opéra de Montréal) and Marie-Jeanne in the world premiere of the complete operatic version of Starmania. She has worked under the direction of renowned conductors such as Kent Nagano, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Daniel Lipton and Jacques Lacombe and is equally at ease in the symphonic repertoire, in recital or in opera productions.
