Muczynski Trio formed by Luo Di (cello), Evgenia Kirjner (piano) and Airat Ichmouratov (clarinet) was founded by Airat Ichmouratov in September, 2000 in Montreal. On November 2000, the trio performed at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall of the Concordia University. Following that recital, in December, Muczynski Trio has appeared at the International Chamber Music Competition in Caltanissetta, Sicily and was chosen to be in the semi-finals among 8 other groups.
In April 2001 Muczynski Trio became the finalists of the International Chamber Music Competition in Pasadena, California. In May, 2002 the trio participated in the Quebec Music Festival, where it was recommended to perform at the National level. Muczynski Trio has been awarded the First Place in the Chamber Category as well as the Grand Award of the National Music Festival held in August, 2002 in Lloydminster, Alberta.
In September 2004, Muczynski Trio received the First Prize at the 8th International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Krakow, Poland. The Trio performed at the Krakow Philharmonic Concert Hall and was recorded by the radio.
