In 1984, Nicole Trottier, together with other young professional musicians, founds Les Violons du Roy, an ensemble of which she is concertmaster. Thanks to a grant from Canada’s Arts Council, in 1986, she studied baroque violin in London with Ingrid Seifert. Since then, she has taken part in the ensemble’s numerous activities and has performed on a regular basis as soloist. Nicole Trottier has had the occasion to be a member of several other ensembles such as the Tafelmusik Baroque Ochestra in Toronto, Arion, Les Nations, the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal, Les Boréades. She has also performed at the International baroque music festival in Lamèque and at the Klang & Raum Musikfestival im Kloster Irsee (Germany).
