The documentary about Angèle Dubeau to be presented at the Montreal International Musical Competition

For those who could not attend to the world premiere of the film Angèle, Virtuoso at the International Festival of Films of Art last month, please note that this documentary which tells the life story of the great violinist Angèle Dubeau will be presented for free at the Cinéma du Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal on May 31 at 2:30 PM in the context of the Montreal International Musical Competition.

Angèle, Virtuoso tells the story of Canada’s pre-eminent violin virtuoso, Angèle Dubeau, exploring her expansive international career in classical music of over 40 years. The film explores the 4 seasons as a visual metaphor for life events and inspirational shifts of her unusual and meteoric ascension from rural Québec to Julliard, and ultimately the world stage.
